Our vision for the Alliance Clinic is to provide the highest quality service to patients. We realize that many patients struggle with concurrent disorders and multiple addictions. Our objective is to deal with these mental health disorders, appropriately refer patients as needed to external support groups and ensure patients are seen on an expedited basis.
Patients without a family physician will be provided with general primary care in addition to support for their addiction disorder(s).
Some of the offered services include: HIV management, monitoring and relapse prevention therapy, alcohol and benzodiazepine addiction management. We are willing to work with patients whose aim is that of total abstinence rather than harm reduction.
We are happy to accept referrals directly from:
- The ER, DART team, Hospitalists and Detox centres (for patients who are seeking continuity of care once opiate maintenance therapy has been considered or initiated. In addition to Methadone, we have considerable experience prescribing Suboxone (Buprenorphine) maintenance or withdrawal therapy)
- Family physicians
- Patient self-referral
- Counselors
- A&D teams, etc.
